昨日の診察でも経過は順調です。１週間、無事に普通の生活に戻って過ごすことができました。皆さまのお祈りに心より感謝申し上げます！
Mitski had his check up at the hospital yesterday, and everything seems to be fine. He was able to go back to normal schedule this week. Thank you so much for your prayers!
先週末から外出も可能になり、今週から、教会の礼拝にも、チャーチスクールにも参加することができました！みんなに会えて本当に嬉しかったです！Mitsuki was able to go outside, and attended Sunday service and church school this week. Mitsuki's comment must be ..."I was so glad to see everyone!"

光輝が手術後はじめての笑顔を見せてくれました。手術した際に、胸管を傷めて、"乳び"という症状を起こしているため、３～６ヶ月間、脂肪分を摂れない状況です。特殊なミルクを飲ませたり、脂肪のない食事をかなり続ければなりませんが、無事に守られますようお祈りお願い致します。

He hurt a part of his lymphatic system in the chest during his surgery that caused "chylothrax." He has to drink special milk without fat, and eat fat-free diets for 3-6 month. Please pray for his quick recovery.

今回も入院もまた、多くの方々との出逢いがありました。こども病院には大きな試練と戦っているたくさんの勇士たちがいます。何か私たちにできる小さなことがないか…と考えさせられる日々です。

God always gives opportunities for us to meet other children and families at the hospital. There are so many striving children at the children's hospital. There must be some "little things" that all of us may be able to do for those in need of encouragement.
"...inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these ... you did it to Me" (Matthew 25:40)

光輝が、５月１５日午後、ICUから一般病棟に移りました（写真左）。経過は順調です。ICU内において、１４日のお昼からヨーグルトを食べることができ、１４日の夕食からは食事とミルクを取ることができました。
Mitsuki was able to get out of ICU in the afternoon of May 15th (Picture on the left). May 14th noon at the ICU, he was able to eat yogurt and on May 14th evening he had his first meal and milk after suergery.
手術前の光輝午前9:30から、手術室に入室し午後 4:45にICUに移りました。

明日、いよいよ光輝の心臓の手術が行われます。今回は、脱血（だっけつ）といって、心臓の中の血を完全に抜き取り、心臓の内部を開いて、血液の流れをさまたげる筋肉を適度に削除したり、あいている２箇所の穴をふさぐことになります。同時に左の肺へ向かう肺動脈にあるくびれのような、血管の細い部分に切れ込みをいれ、人工の布をあてることによって肺動脈を太くします。人工心肺に依存できる時間が決まっており、また本物の心臓のような強い脈拍がないので、脳細胞など、毛細血管への血流が悪くなってしまいますので、的確な手術が短い時間で行わること、また脱血後の心臓から、空気を抜く作業など無事に守られますようにお祈り宜しくお願い致します。前回は、右のわき腹を13センチ切って、人工血管を通しましたが、今回は胸の中心から、骨を切断して胸を開く手術です。無事守られますように、お祈りを宜しくお願い致します。
Tommorrow is Mitsuki's second surgery. This time, the doctor will take away all the blood from the heart, open up the heart itself and scrape off some extra muscle tissues inside which are interfering the blood flow, and also close the two holes inside the heart. The doctor will also cut and widens the artery which goes to the left lung. The artificial heart can go on only a limited period of time, and weak pulse from the machine cannot provide enough blood to the brain capillaries. Air should be completely removed carefully from the heart right after the surgery. Please pray for the proper and quick surgery. Last time, the doctor opened up 13 cm on right side of Mitsuki's body to put the artificial blood vessel, but this time he will cut the chest bone right in the middle to reach the heart. Please pray for God's blessing upon this surgery.

Mitsuki before his surgery (sent from my wife's cellphone) １月１５日手術が無事に終わり、翌朝１６日に家族待機も解除。１６日の午後からは哺乳瓶を使って母乳を飲むこともでき、昨夜は離乳食も食べることができました。経過は順調で、今朝軽井沢に戻る前にはゆっくり眠っていましたが、昨夜１１時から朝の５時までぐっすりと睡眠をとったとのこと、近々ＩＣＵを出られるのではないかと思われます。病院にインターネットのアクセスがなくご連絡が大変遅くなってしまい申し訳ございません。病院での様子などをまた後ほど記させて頂きます。

Friday's surgery ended successfully and Mitsuki can finally drink a bottle with breast milk in addition to eating baby food last night. Everything from the surgery seems to be working, and he was asleep straight from 11 pm last night till 5am this morning. He should be able to leave ICU soon I hope. Unfortunately there is no internet in the hospital, but I hope to be able to post more updates quickly.
